Amy Phelps Founder, Registered Massage Therapist, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Reiki Master

Amy has always had a passion for energy, body work, and supporting others to show up for themselves and guiding them on their healing journey. So in 2014, she followed a push from the universe and founded Lotus Massage and Wellness.

Starting her path as a holistic health practitioner and massage therapist, she was guided into a yoga teacher training and meditation teacher certification. You can find her at the studio teaching yoga, facilitating meditation and moon circles, and offering intuitive sessions of massage, reiki and meditation. She loves to work with energy and hold space for others to discover their own healing abilities.

Amy is a mom to two sweet boys, Daniel and Quinn, who are constantly inspiring her to grow and live in her heart space. She is always dreaming up ideas to offer and creating new ways to serve the community. She has a big heart, feels deeply, and you can feel her calming energy when around her.

Melissa Chisholm Registered Massage Therapist

Melissa has a passion for health and wellness that she brings in to every session with her clients. She believes daily movement is the absolute best medicine and wants to help her clients find ways to move their bodies to help prevent and alleviate pain, as well as put a smile on their face.

In 2018 she completed her 2200 hour Massage Therapy Program in Halifax Nova Scotia. Since then she has been shaping her massage therapy practice to best reflect her values and beliefs about the human body. Her style brings together the art of massage therapy without sacrificing any of the therapeutic benefit that comes from having a great deal of knowledge of the musculoskeletal system. She believes a body in a relaxed and comfortable environment is always more likely to heal. She likes to flow through treatment to best help her clients central nervous system take a break.

Melissa offers a wide range of pressure and technique but finds the clients best suited to her prefer a medium to deep touch. She offers Cupping, Trigger Point Release, Deep Tissue, Thai Stretch Therapy, Pre and Post Natal massage, TMJ treatment. She's also a certified personal trainer through the international sports science center.

When she's not working hands on you can find her outdoors with her dogs, curled up with a good book and her cat. Or in the kitchen testing out a new recipe. She also loves traditional exercise such as weight lifting, yoga and bootcamps.

She can't wait to meet you and help you move one step closer to your wellness goals.

Rachel Zook Registered Massage Therapist, Manual Osteopathy Therapist

Rachel graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2020. Since graduating she has always had a passion to help people no matter what they come in for. Therapeutic work is a huge part of her practice however she loves to help those who want to come in for stress and mind relief. Being a recent grad of Manual Osteopathy she has a drive to get down to the root problem of people’s pain. Her touch is unique and she can connect with the body to listen for what it needs.

Mind and body work together. While making sure clients are relaxed and comfortable she uses a variety of techniques and assessments to figure out what the root cause of your pain/discomfort is. Osteoarticulations and advanced myofascial remodelling are modalities she has recently learned through her training. Craniosacral therapy, manual lymphatic drainage and visceral manipulation are next to come.

When Rachel is not in the clinic you can find her spending time with her two golden labs or at the ball diamonds. She can’t wait to start working with you in hopes of beginning a new pain free, positive lifestyle.

Samantha Parry Registered Massage Therapist

Samantha graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage in 2020 with a growing passion of massage and its many benefits.

She offers a therapeutic approach to treatments that target both pain management and relaxation. Samantha likes to use a wide variety of techniques and manual therapies, including trigger point therapy, joint mobilization, lymphatic drainage, active inhibition and remedial exercise. She enjoys educating her clients and developing treatments best suited to their needs.

Samantha is always furthering her education and taking on new ventures. She is a mother of two amazing kids, a farm girl and a homebody at heart. Away from work you can find her in the garden, camping or hiking by a river with her family awaiting the next adventure.

Trisia Kimmy Shamanic Energy Healer and Psychic Medium

Trisia is currently in Massage Therapy Schooling and is not taking clients at this time.

Trisia has been sensitive to energy since a small age, seeing spirit, feeling other people's emotions, having vivid dreams that would happen to play out in real life. Trisia started off doing medium and intuitive psychic readings then went on to do spiritual life coaching and now is offering Shamanic energy healing along with continuing psychic mediumship readings.

Throughout the last decade, Trisia has dedicated herself to growth and transformation, not only for herself, but so she is able to show up in the way that is needed in her work. Trisia believes the more she heals, she is able to give her clients an even deeper level of healing.

Trisia has invested in learning and taking courses through many teachers she has found along the way. She has been certified in holistic nutrition coaching from the Institute of Integrated Nutrition and has continued taking classes in the spiritual and intuitive development, mediumship and coaching courses including getting certified as a meditation teacher and completing her Reiki level one. Trisia has also been trained in Shamanism and different ways to use shamanic energy to help heal. Trisia uses a mix of tools she has learned in her sessions.

Trisia is very passionate about her work and her own personal development in healing and continues to learn through many teachers and courses.

Lola Hynes Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist

Lola has been on a very hands-on healing & spiritual journey for many years and has a vast thirst for human behaviour, brain function, science and spirituality.

She has training in Neurolinguistic Programming, Reiki, Trilotherapy and many course in relationships and boundaries and combines all this knowledge in her Hypnotherapy sessions. She treats clients with trauma, addictions, PTSD, anxiety, inner child work and so much more.

Lola loves to play guitar and sing, and go for rides on her motorcycle. She spends lots of time in nature to ground herself and cleanse her soul.

Samantha Hutchison Registered Massage Therapist, Student Reflexologist, Graston Practitioner

Sam is a graduate of MH Vicars 2200 hour Remedial Massage Therapy Program, a Graston M1 Provider and a long time resident of Leduc County.

While suffering from conditions such as TMJD, disc herniation and thoracic outlet syndrome she found great relief in chiropractic and massage therapy, which influenced her decision to enrol in school. While using skills like orthopaedic assessment, dynamic cupping, Graston, hot stone massage, therapeutic massage and remedial exercise, she tailors treatments to each individual client and their needs.

When not working, Sam can be found on the family farm with her husband and children. There they are busy with horses, calves, dogs and cats. She also volunteers with an animal rescue and casually participates in local barrel jackpots.

Melissa Maxson Registered Massage Therapist

Melissa received her Registered Massage Therapy certification from the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2017, while studying concurrently for her Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture certifications which she received in 2019. She is a registered member in good standing with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC).

Her education has provided her with a unique blend of modalities that have allowed her to integrate her knowledge of traditional healing with current conventional standards of treatment. Melissa has experience treating chronic illnesses, mental health, concussion and traumatic brain injury, and sports related injuries and rehabilitation. Her professional goals and passions are to continue deepening her knowledge in these fields, and she hopes to be able to provide acupuncture services in the future. She welcomes massage clients across a broad scope of massage treatment options including Therapeutic and Relaxation, Pre and Post Natal, Gua Sha and Cupping.

Melissa understands that sometimes the journey to a functional and healthful life can be overwhelming, frustrating, or full of fear of the unknown. It is her honor to provide an open-minded, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment for clients to receive treatments.

When not in the clinic, Melissa enjoys living an active and outdoor lifestyle, having new adventures, traveling, gardening, and being with her loved ones.
